In Acts 17:28 we read these words from Paul, “In Him we live and move and have our being.”
In this scripture passage, the Apostle Paul is debating with the men of Athens about their altar dedicated to the UNKNOWN GOD. Speaking to a crowd of pagan people, and in an effort to reinforce God’s nearness, He states our dependence upon him. If you read the rest of the verse, Paul goes on to make a connection to their own Greek poets by agreeing that everyone is indeed Gods offspring.
Matt Redman has a new song out entitled “Your Grace Finds Me.” I think it is a perfect song to fit our theme, “Breathe”, over this Lent season as we lean in on what it means to “live and move and have our being.” The song is a declaration that God longs for us to discover His grace. His grace is everywhere if we open our eyes. His grace is what breathes life into us.
