Fantastic blog. Nice to see unfamiliar titles recommended and favourite reads listed here.

I'm re-reading Lee Strobel's The Case for Christ, heard about it from Sharon Rusk at a coffee & conversation one Sunday.

As well as reading a new one from Bethel's library - Sister Freaks.

I usually have a Max Lucado close at hand, too. Just finished rereading his "Next Door Savior."

I hope other people post their current and favourite reads!

Laura

Quote: “Quote: “The two camps in embryonic Jewish Christianity were circumcised and uncircumcised. ”

(le-havdil), A logical analysis (found here: www.netzarim.co.il (that is the only legitimate Netzarim)) of all extant source documents and archeology proves that the historical first-century Ribi Yehosuha ha-Mashiakh (the Messiah) from Nazareth and his talmidim (apprentice-students), called the Netzarim, taught and lived Torah all of their lives; and that Netzarim and Christianity were always antithetical. His teachings are found in Netzarim Hebrew reconstruction of Matityahu, and were redacted by Roman Hellenists. The redactions are found in the “gospel of Matthew”, and to follow the redacted teachings is the antithesis to follow the historical teachings of Ribi Yehoshua.

Judaism and Christianity have always been two antithetical religions, and thus the term “Jewish Christianity” is an oxymoron.

Ribi Yehoshuas talmidim Netzairm still observes Torah non-selectively to their utmost today and the research in the above website implies that becoming one of Ribi Yehoshuas Netzarim-followers is the only way to follow him.

You wrote: "God bless you in your journey toward emotional wholeness and spiritual health."

I read this line twice.

Very powerful message there and in your story. Thanks for sharing.

Great sermon Sunday, thank-you.

I always liked the imagery in this quote:

“To carry a grudge is like being stung to death by one bee.”

William H. Walton

Hey Mark - just caught up with your recents posts and at the same time was listening to an artist interview on Klove radio. In their church, members shared 'recovery' stories - and as the congregation listened to the story shared, when something was said that they could relate to, some struggle or shared battle, for instance, the audience raised their hands. This show of support encouraged the speaker and others, who might not feel safe raising their hand. Just a thought on how we might further build community and encourage one another when sharing our stories.
