Constance Lake Short Term Trip August 2012
Constance Lake First Nation Reserve is the National Focus for Bethel Church. Bethel has been sending a team up to Constance Lake for the past 10 years. We desire to respond to God’s heart and see hearts transformed in the community of Constance Lake.
We have started to put together the team(s) for this summers trip.

This year we are doing something a little different but offering the choice of going one or two weeks:
OPTION ONE | AUGUST 11-17
The first week will have the team serving in a variety of ways including:
- Teen Leadership Camp – a leadership training time for the teenagers who are getting too old for our day program. Our goal is to teach leadership skills and have them apply these skills in week two by helping with the Day Camp.
- Day events/games for kids ages 5-12 – Though our large focus of the week will be on the teens, we don’t want to forget about the kids. This will be a very flexible time with the kids – teaching, games, crafts, etc.
- Community BBQ – At the beginning of the week we will host a BBQ for the community allowing us to connect with the adults and elders in the community.
- Community outreach to kids/teens/adults/elders - Depending on the gifts and talents of the team we will plan other activities that we can do to build relationships with the community.
OPTION TWO | AUGUST 18-25
The second week will have the team serving in a variety of ways including:
- Day Camp for kids ages 5-13 – We will start the program off with lunch for all of the kids and then launch into our structured day program that includes biblical teaching, games, sports, worship, crafts, small group time, etc.
- Community outreach to kids/teens/adults/elders - Depending on the gifts and talents of the team we will plan other activities that we can do to build relationships with the community.
OPTION THREE | AUGUST 11-25
Those who wish to stay for both weeks will get the opportunity to build stronger relationships with the kids, teens and adults in the community and will participate in all of the above depending on their gifts and talents.
