COST + HOW TO BOOK

The fee is $30 per car plus HST so gather up a car load of your family or friends! The fee includes a s’mores package for each car/group and a cup of hot chocolate for each individual.

Purchase your ticket in advance at https://iawah-tuck-shop.square.site/great-winter-escape.

You will see two time slots available to book: a morning visit or afternoon visit. We are encouraging Bethel Church family and friends to book the morning time of 9:30AM – 12:30PM. The staff at Bethel will all be at the morning event, and we would love to see you there!

This is not a private event; this event is run by IAWAH and is open to everyone, not just Bethel Church. So book your car load of family or friends soon!

Note: If the $30 fee is not manageable for your budget, but you would still like to come to the Great Winter Escape, please email Keri at Bethel. keri@bethelkingston.com

WHAT TO BRING

  • Tubes, crazy-carpets, foam sleds or toboggans
  • Skates, snowshoes, X-country skis

ACTIVITIES

There is no program or agenda, except for having fun and enjoying winter together with your family and friends! Activities include sledding, skating, hiking, broomball, and more. Please bring your own skates, skis, crazy carpets, etc, if you have them, as IAWAH’s supplies are limited.

You can also cozy up around a fire pit while enjoying hot chocolate and S’mores.

OPTIONAL HOT LUNCH

You may pre-purchase a hot lunch on the IAWAH website:

  • Hamburger ($5)
  • Hot dog ($3)
  • Sausage ($4)
  • Vegan burger ($5)
  • Gluten free bun ($1)

All prices are subject to HST.

Your lunch order(s) will be a separate transaction from your event ticket purchase. After you book your event ticket for your car load of family or friends, you may return to the website at any time to pre-order hot lunch(es). Your lunch items will be available for pick-up between 11:00AM – 12:30PM on the day-of the event. Simply show your receipt at the Tuck Shop to confirm your purchase when you are ready to eat.

Note for online ordering: When pre-ordering lunch on the IAWAH website, you will be asked to select a “pick-up” day and time, however you’ll see that there is no pick-up option for Sat, Feb 26. Do not worry! You can select any day or time – it doesn’t matter. The team at Camp IAWAH will match the name on your lunch order with the name on your ticket purchase – they will know you are coming the morning of Sat, Feb 26.

  3. Wolfe Lake is amazing for ice-fishing. Can I fish during the event? IAWAH is not offering ice-fishing as an activity. However, you may bring your own gear and ice-fish at your own risk.
