The Fulfillment of the Law

Preacher:
Passage: Matthew 5:17-20

You've probably experienced this before - you're listening to someone talk and scratching your head at the logic behind their ideas. The same can happen when reading the Bible! In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5), Jesus talks about his followers being the "salt" and "light" of the world (to preserve and reveal his kingdom on earth), and then he switches ideas completely and starts talking about the law! Why this switch? Are the two passages random, or are they connected in a way we haven't understood before?
