The Book of James has a strong emphasis faith being intertwined with our behaviour and actions. "So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." [James 2:14] But we also know that salvation is a free gift from God, through faith in the work of Jesus dying on the cross for us. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." [Romans 6:23] How can both be true? Or perhaps...are they two sides of the same coin?
