In Paul's 2nd letter to Timothy, he is writing from jail to a sincere believer who grew up in a Christian home with strong Christian role models. And yet, Paul is encouraging Timothy to rekindle his faith and not be ashamed of the testimony of Jesus. It's easy to get distracted or complacent in our relationship with God, so let's hear Paul's words and be encouraged to rekindle, hold and protect our faith -- even, perhaps, to a point of suffering.
