Pastor Daniel Critchlow

Daniel Critchlow

Senior Pastor // daniel@bethelkingston.com

Hi everyone, my name is Daniel and I serve as the Senior Pastor here at Bethel. I was born in England and brought up in a Christian family before making a decision to follow the Lord Jesus at a young age. I am married to Christiane and have been blessed with four amazing daughters.

Following theological education at Belfast Bible College and Cambridge University, I have served in ministry positions as an assistant pastor in England, an Army Chaplain with the British Army, and as a pastor in Germany. The Lord called us to serve here at Bethel in August 2023.

What do I love about Bethel? That they are Bible-teaching, Spirit-filled and Jesus-glorifying (and friendly!) - and I hope that you find that to be your experience too!

As Senior Pastor I am primarily responsible for "preaching, prayer and pastoral" work alongside leading the (fantastic!) staff team and working with the Elders and the Board of Directors in discerning the Lord's leading in our Church family. The greatest joy in my ministry is seeing people come to know and love the Lord Jesus.

We would love to welcome you for worship and fellowship at Bethel, and if you have any questions, please do email me.

Church Administrator Carmen

Carmen Gauvin-O'Donnell

Church Administrator // carmen@bethelkingston.com
Hi! I'm a French Canadian by birth, from the Ottawa area, and moved to Kingston in 1996 when my then soldier-husband Mike was posted here. We've been here ever since, and now call Kingston home since Mike's retirement. My background is Law (although I graduated waaaaaay back in 1993, and never really practiced, in case you’re tempted to ask me for free legal advice – you’ll get what you pay for!). I've been working part-time for the church since 2006 (you'll usually find me here Tue-Fri, 9-1, and at church on Sundays, of course!). I started as the church’s Secretary, and now as the Administrator. My job is to make sure Bethel's administrative framework (including policy and abuse prevention and training) run smoothly so that my pastoral colleagues are free to minister. Or, as I'm fond of saying, "My Job is Paper, my Business is People." (Registered Trademark! 🙂 In my spare time, I love being active (soccer is a particular sports obsession, although I do love sports in general), and I'm also an avid postage stamp collector (GIVE ME YOUR OLD STAMPS! 🙂 and cross-stitcher (a.k.a “how-to-keep-your-hands-busy-so-you-don’t-eat-in-front-of-the-tv” 🙂 ) I also enjoy a role as Bethel's Apologist-in-Residence, always willing to make a defence for the hope I have, with gentleness and respect. Mike and I don’t have children, but our house is nonetheless maintained for the total comfort and convenience of our cat Isosceles, the Beloved Idiot but Hunting Master.
Building Superintendent Steve

Steve Cousineau

Building Superintendent // steve.w.cousineau@gmail.com
Steve isn’t new to Kingston, having been born and raised a short distance away in Sunbury. He came aboard as Bethel’s Building Superintendent in 2010 after graduating from our Bethel House program, where he also now volunteers as the Bethel House Manager. Steve has four grown children and 7 grandchildren ranging in age from newborn to 15 years of age. In his spare time, he loves to do service work and play with his grandkids.
Media & Communications Coordinator Dan

Dan Snider

Media and Communications Coordinator / dansnider@bethelkingston.com

Hi! I'm Daniel (or Dan)!

I'm our Media and Communications Coordinator here at Bethel! I first got connected with Bethel through youth group, and have been an active member of our Kingston church community ever since, leading and participating in various ministries across the city. After graduating college, I've spent the past five years working various gigs in marketing, and I am thrilled to now bring my unique blend of skills (and bad jokes) to the team at Bethel! When I am not at Bethel, I can be found hiking, studying, cooking, or diving into a new hobby! Feel free to shoot me an email if you ever need anything office or tech related at Bethel!

Will Walker

Worship Leader // will@bethelkingston.com

William Walker is a worship leader at Bethel Church who is deeply committed to leading people into the presence of God, even when the capo is missing, the click track ghosts the band, or the song somehow starts in a key no one agreed on.

He’s passionate about Scripture-rooted, Spirit-led worship and firmly believes excellence matters, though he also believes God is very gracious when the bridge is repeated one too many times. William loves building worship teams, writing songs, and reminding everyone that worship isn’t about performance, especially after confidently counting in the wrong tempo.

When he’s not on stage, William can be found rearranging setlists five minutes before service, explaining why the intro is actually four bars longer than last week, or saying things like, “Let’s just keep it simple,” right before adding one more spontaneous moment. He’s a big believer in following the Spirit and silently praying the band remembers the arrangement.

William lives in the country 20 min outside Kingston with his wife Melanie, son Isaac and daughter Sadie-Jo, their dog Rascal and a herd of cats who often find their forever home under the wheels of their vehicles. His kids help keep him humble, honest, and well-aware that his worship face is expressive, especially when reaching for notes that should only be sung by female opera professionals. If worship at Bethel feels heartfelt, joy-filled, slightly unpredictable, and somehow still comes together beautifully it’s probably because God is faithful and William showed up early with coffee and muffins!
