Passage: Matthew 2:1-12

In this second Sunday of Advent, we look at the story of the Magi who travelled to Israel to find the new Jewish king. (Matthew chapter 2) This is a familiar story to many, yet this is an underlying question that we might not have considered: We know that the people of Israel were waiting and hoping for their promised King as we see all through the Old Testament, but why would non-Jewish people be interested, and how did they actually hear about it? Guest pastor Steve helps us uncover this mystery and its importance for us today.
