God the Disciple-maker “par excellence”

At the beginning of a new year we often take time to think about goals and priorities for the year. And for Christians, we must also ask the question “what is of first importance to God, ahead of my own personal plans?”

To answer this question, guest pastor Bryon Wheaton reminds us of God’s commission to his followers (Matthew 28:18-20), spoken by Jesus long ago and which is still true for this new year: go and make disciples. We also explore the larger biblical context of this command and realize that we are not doing this on our own, but God, himself, is the original and greatest disciple-maker!
