The Gospel of John doesn't start with Jesus' birth or genealogies, but rather with "in the beginning was the Word...the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." (John 1: 1, 14) John then writes about encounters that people had with Jesus, each story proving that "the Word became flesh."

In John 1:35-51, we meet several people who are curious about what Jesus is up to and we hear Jesus' response of "come and see." Then, after spending just one day with Jesus, a chain reaction of connections is triggered, inviting more people to follow Jesus! In today's sermon, guest pastor Doug encourages us to keep our invitations to meet Jesus simple..."come and see."
